Wood N Metal

You can find us over at Khasra No. 118 on Ignou Road. We are right across from the Corporation Bank in Neb Sarai. The shop is almost always a bit messy with wood shavings and small metal scraps on the floor. That’s just the way it is when you’re building things from scratch every day. We’ve been at this spot in Neb Enclave for quite some time now. It’s a noisy part of town, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of the cars and the people going to the bank. We mostly work with our hands here. There’s a lot of cutting, sanding, and welding happening. My clothes are usually covered in dust or grease by the time I head home in the evening. We make furniture and other metal pieces for the local folks. It’s not some high-end showroom with bright lights. You’ll see the projects we’re currently working on right when you walk through the door. Sometimes we even have to work outside on the pavement if the piece we’re building is too large to fit comfortably inside. The neighbors are pretty used to us by now. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job. We don’t use any fancy computers to design our stuff. It’s mostly just pencil sketches on scraps of wood. We just want to make things that are sturdy and work well. If you’re looking for us, just look for the pile of timber near the entrance. We are usually here from early morning until late.
