Kumar Glass House

If you know Sadar Bazar, you know how hectic it can get. We are tucked away at 2304 Punjabi Chhatta, which is right near Rui Mandi. It’s one of those parts of Delhi where you really have to know where you’re going or you’ll get lost in the lanes. Kumar Glass House is a small shop, mostly filled with different types of glass sheets and mirrors. We spend a lot of our time dealing with walk-ins and local contractors who need something specific for a house or a shop nearby. The area is always crowded with carts and people moving goods, so it’s never a dull moment. We’ve seen the market change over the years, shops coming and going, but we’ve stayed put. Our space is pretty tight, so we have to be careful how we stack things. You learn to move quickly in a place like this. It’s not some polished retail store with air conditioning. It’s a working shop in the middle of a busy trade hub. We talk to the neighbors, drink tea while waiting for deliveries, and handle the glass with care because one slip means a lot of cleanup. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just sell glass and cut it for people who need it. It’s been our life for a long time. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily grind in Sadar Bazar.
