Bawa Glass Co. is located at 3/9 Desh Bandhu Gupta Road in Paharganj. If you know Paharganj, you know how lively and crowded it can get at almost any hour of the day. Our shop is right there in the middle of it all on the main road. We have glass everywhere you look inside the premises. It’s a bit of a challenge keeping the dust off everything with the traffic outside, but we do our best. The space is filled with the sounds of the street—horns honking and people shouting—but once you step inside, we are just focused on the glass. We have different types of glass leaning against the walls and some smaller pieces stored in racks. It’s a very hands-on environment. There is no corporate office feel here; it’s a working shop through and through. We spend our time talking to customers who walk in off the street or handling orders that come in over the phone. We’ve been at 3/9 for a long time, so we are a familiar part of the landscape on Desh Bandhu Gupta Road. Sometimes we sit on the stools near the front and watch the world go by when things are a bit slow. It’s just a regular, honest business where we work with our hands and try to keep things moving along every day.
