Kamaljeet Glass & Aluminum Fabrication is located at Plot No.R-29 in Maharani Enclave. We are quite close to Holy International School in Uttam Nagar. If you’re around there, you’ve probably seen the trucks or the stacks of glass. It’s a workshop, so it’s loud. There is always the sound of cutting and metal hitting metal. We started out small and stayed pretty small. There’s a group of us who do the cutting and the fixing. We don't have a receptionist. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. It’s a bit messy with aluminum scraps on the floor, but we sweep up every evening. Working with glass is tricky, you have to be careful. We've had our share of broken panes over the years. That’s just part of the learning. People from the enclave come to us when they have a broken window or need a frame. We don't do those big fancy presentations. We just look at the job, tell you what it costs, and do it. Sometimes it takes a bit longer if a part is missing, but we get it done eventually. It’s honest work. We live nearby, so we see our customers at the market. It keeps us accountable. We aren't looking to be the biggest company, just want to keep the lights on and do a decent job for the neighbors. The school nearby means it gets really busy with parents and kids in the mornings and afternoons. We have to be careful when moving large sheets of glass so we don't get in anyone's way.
