Gulati Glass Industries Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 25 Paschim Vihar Extension, right across from the Ordinance Depot on Rohtak Road. If you know the area, you know that Rohtak Road is always moving with heavy trucks and people heading out of the city. We are right on the edge of all that action. The building is a practical one, designed more for moving glass than for looking pretty. Being opposite the depot means we see a lot of military vehicles and big lorries passing by all day long. It can be a bit noisy, but you stop noticing the horns after a few months. Our daily routine is mostly about managing the inventory and making sure the glass is stored safely. We don't have a reception desk or a fancy waiting room. Most of the time, the floor is covered with packing materials and wooden crates. The guys working here are a rough-and-ready bunch who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We usually have a quick lunch break together and then get right back to the crates. The weather can make things tough, especially when it is dusty outside, because we have to keep the glass clean. It is a straightforward job in a straightforward part of Delhi. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just stay busy and keep the glass moving out to the customers. That is the way we have always done it here in Paschim Vihar.
