M/s Shiva Glass Emporium

You can find us in Vats Market. It's right next to the Shiva Market in Pitampura. We have been in this little corner at number 28 for quite a few years now. The shop is full of mirrors and different kinds of glass sheets. People from the neighborhood come in when they break a window or want a new mirror for the bathroom. We do a lot of cutting on the big table in the back. It’s a bit messy with glass shards everywhere so we have to sweep the floor a lot. My hands are usually covered in a bit of grit from the glass work. Pitampura is always crowded so there is plenty of noise from the market outside. We keep the shop open until late evening most days. Sometimes people bring in old wooden frames and we put new glass in them. It's practical work. Nothing special about it. We just try to get the measurements right. If the glass is too big by even a millimeter it won’t fit the frame. So we are very careful with the wooden ruler. The market is a good place to be. We know the other shop owners nearby. We share tea and talk about the weather or the local news. It's a simple life at Shiva Glass. Just a local shop doing what we know how to do for the people around here.
