Panthers Dance Institute

We've been at Mayur Vihar Gt Colony B-1209 for a while now. It started because we just really liked to dance and wanted a place where people in the neighborhood could come and move around without it being too fancy. The studio isn’t huge but it has enough mirrors and the floor is good for jumping. It took us a few weeks to get the sound system right, but now it works fine for our classes. Most days you’ll see kids running in around four in the afternoon after their school ends. Their parents usually sit outside on the little bench or run errands while we work on some routines. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when we turn the music up, but the neighbors are mostly okay with it. We do different styles, nothing too crazy, just what people want to learn. The lights in the back room flicker a little if the AC is on too high, but we’ve gotten used to it. It’s a busy spot, especially on Saturdays when everyone has more time. We don't have a big reception desk or anything, just a few chairs and a water cooler that always needs refilling. People come here to sweat and have a bit of fun. It’s just us doing our thing in this corner of the colony. If you walk past B-1209 and hear some beats, that’s probably us. We try to keep the place tidy, though the kids leave their bags and shoes everywhere. It's just how it is. We keep the doors open when it's cool out, though the dust gets in sometimes.
