Padma Art & Craft Bazar

If you walk around Rajouri Garden, you know how busy the J block area gets. We have our little shop at J 13/56. It’s basically a bazar for anything related to art and craft. We’ve got shelves packed with everything from simple paints to more specific craft supplies that are hard to find. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to stock as much as possible. It’s mostly my family and a couple of helpers who run the place. People come in for school projects or because they’ve started a new hobby at home. It’s nice to see what they’re making. The shop can get quite messy when we have a new shipment coming in. We don't have a fancy display system; we just put things where they fit. Sometimes customers have to ask where something is, and we usually know exactly which corner it’s tucked into. Rajouri is a lively place to be, though the parking is always a struggle for everyone. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shop owners on the street. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t do big promotions. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. It’s a lot of small items and a lot of talking to people about their projects. We enjoy the creative energy folks bring in.
