Orient Art & Crafts

Our place is in the Vandana Building on Tolstoy Marg. Specifically, we are in units D through H. It is a solid building, right in the middle of things at 11, Tolstoy Marg. Orient Art & Crafts has been operating out of here for a while. The space is filled with all sorts of items. Boxes are stacked up in the corners and there is always a bit of bubble wrap on the floor from packing things up. It isn't a showroom with fancy lights. It is more of a workspace where we get our hands dirty. The light coming through the windows in the afternoon is actually pretty nice, though it shows all the dust on the shelves. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back. The staff here knows where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. We spend a lot of time checking orders and making sure things are labeled. Tolstoy Marg is a well-known street, so it is easy for people to find us, but the parking is a nightmare. Most of us take the metro or a bus. We usually have our morning meeting standing up because there aren't enough chairs for everyone to sit at once. It is a bit loud sometimes with people talking over each other. We just try to stay busy and keep things moving. It is a simple life here at the office.
