Nirula'S

Being in the Outer Circle of CP at N 64 means we see everyone. This spot has been part of the landscape for a long time. People come in after shopping or when they just need a break from the heat outside. It’s noisy out there but once the door closes it’s just the sound of the machines and people talking over their food. We go through a lot of ice cream every single day. The hot chocolate fudge is what most people ask for, and we spend half our shift just scooping it out of the tubs. My hands get tired sometimes. The floor gets sticky if someone drops a cone, so we’re always grabbing the mop. It’s not a big corporate office; it’s just us behind the counter trying to keep up with the lunch rush. Sometimes the line gets long and people look annoyed, but we move as fast as we can. We know the regulars who come in every Tuesday or the office workers from nearby who just want a quick bite. It’s a bit cramped behind the counter when all five of us are working at once. We usually just talk about our weekend plans while we wait for the next customer. It’s just a job in a busy part of town. We keep the lights on and the fridge cold for anyone stopping by Nirula'S.
