If you head over to New Ashok Nagar A 12, that is where I’ve got the space set up. It is more of a personal studio than a big academy. I started doing this because I had some extra room and a lot of instruments sitting around doing nothing. Now, the place is pretty much filled with music stuff. I have got my piano in the main room and some guitars hanging on the walls. The street outside is usually quite busy, so there is always a bit of background hum from the traffic. It’s not a fancy place with soundproofing everywhere, but it works for what we need. People come by after work or school. We usually just sit down, have some water, and get to work on whatever piece they are struggling with. I don't follow a strict corporate handbook or anything. We just go at a pace that feels right. Sometimes we spend the whole hour just talking about how a certain song is put together. The building itself is an older one, so the stairs can be a bit creaky. It has character, I guess you could say. My neighbors are pretty patient with the noise, which I appreciate. It is just me here most of the time, making sure the instruments stay in tune and the sheet music doesn't get lost in a pile. It’s a simple, local way to spend the day and teach.
