Mrignayani M.P Govt. Emporium is based at B-8 in the State Emporia Complex on Bks Marg. It’s a well-known spot because of all the other emporiums nearby. Even though it’s a government-related place, we who work here are just regular people trying to keep things organized. The building has been here for years, and it shows in some of the corners. We spend our days surrounded by textiles and traditional items from Madhya Pradesh. There is a lot of folding and unfolding of fabric involved in what we do. We don't have a slick sales team. We just help people find what they are looking for among the stacks of goods. Some days the foot traffic is heavy, and we are constantly on our feet. Other times, it’s just us doing inventory and making sure the displays aren't too messy. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a blessing in the summer. We have a lot of paperwork to fill out because of the way things are run, but we’re used to it by now. It’s a solid place to work, even if the pace can be a bit slow sometimes. We take pride in just showing up and doing the job right. It’s a lot of heritage in one small room, and we just try to keep it all in order for whoever walks in.
