Mahesh Handicraft

Mahesh Handicraft is located in Balbir Nagar, right over in Shahdara near Jwala Nagar. It’s one of those areas where everyone kind of knows their neighbor. We spend our days surrounded by various handmade items that come through the shop. It’s not a big corporate space, just a regular local spot where we keep things simple. Shahdara can get pretty crowded, especially during the festive seasons, and our shop feels that energy. Most of the time, we’re busy unpacking new stock or helping someone find a specific piece they need for their home. The shelves are packed with stuff, and sometimes it gets a bit dusty, but we try to keep on top of it. Working in Jwala Nagar means we see a lot of the same faces every week. We aren't really about big advertisements or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and get to work. People come to us when they want something that isn't made in a giant factory. It’s all about the craft and the time someone spent making it. There is always something new to look at, which keeps the day interesting for us. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but inside we just focus on the items we have. It’s a straightforward life here in Balbir Nagar, just doing what we do every day without much fuss.
