Kriti Architects & Interior Designers is tucked away in the lower ground floor at Plot No. L-86A in Malviya Nagar. It's a handy spot since we are so close to the metro station, which makes it easy for folks to find us. The office is usually filled with rolls of tracing paper and samples of tiles or bits of wood. We spend our days drawing up plans and figuring out how to make rooms work better for people. It's a mix of creative thinking and just practical measuring with a tape. We don't have a flashy showroom with lights and music. Usually, we're just sitting around a messy table with a laptop and some pens. We work on homes mostly, sometimes a small shop or a local office. Malviya Nagar is a crowded area, so we've learned how to make the most of every square inch. It gets a bit noisy with the metro trains rumbling nearby, but we don't mind it much. We try to listen to what people actually want and then see if it's possible to build it given the space. Sometimes ideas don't work with the budget or the wall layout, and we have to be honest about that. We aren't trying to be the biggest design firm in Delhi. We just like designing things that look decent and actually work for the people living there. It’s a lot of back and forth with contractors. That’s how we spend our time.
