Leo International Design Group Co. Ltd

Our design group operates out of J-62 in Vishnu Garden, New Delhi. It’s a busy neighborhood, and our building fits right in with the others on the street. Inside, it’s a mix of old drafting tables and newer computers. We aren't one of those high-end firms with a coffee bar and lounge chairs; we are more of a working studio. There are usually drawings pinned to the walls and samples of materials scattered across the desks. It can get a bit cluttered when we are in the middle of a big project, but we know where everything is. The noise from the street filters in, so you always hear the sounds of Delhi while we’re working. Our team consists of people who actually enjoy the process of putting things together. We spend a lot of time debating small details over lunch. Since we’re in 110018, we are well-connected to the rest of the city, which is helpful when we need to visit a site or meet a vendor. We’ve had the same sign on the door for years, and it’s a bit faded now, but that doesn't stop the work from getting done. We focus on the practical side of design—making sure things actually work the way they are supposed to. It’s a busy, somewhat messy, but very honest way to earn a living in this city day after day.
