Khanna Foods

Khanna Foods is situated at A-118 in Vivek Vihar. We have been part of this community for a while, just providing food to the local residents. Our kitchen isn't very large, and it can get quite cramped when we are preparing the daily orders. We start early in the morning, usually around the time the milkman arrives. There’s no big corporate office behind us, just a few people who like to cook. The smell of frying onions and spices usually fills the street outside our door. Sometimes the neighbors complain if the exhaust fan is too loud, but we try to keep it maintained. We don't have a fancy dining area, just a couple of benches for people waiting for their parcels. The menu is written on a chalkboard that we sometimes forget to update. We use the same local suppliers for our vegetables and grains that we’ve used for years. It’s not a perfect system, and sometimes we run out of ingredients before the day is over. If that happens, we just tell people to come back tomorrow. The rain sometimes gets in through the front vent, so we have to move the bags of flour around. It’s just a regular, slightly messy food business. We don't spend money on marketing or polished photos. If you like the food, you come back, and that’s how we’ve stayed open this long. It’s a simple way to live and work in Vivek Vihar.
