P. K. Overseas Pvt. Ltd. is over at 18/20 Arya Samaj Road in Karol Bagh. This is a very different vibe from the old city markets, though it’s still plenty busy. We are surrounded by all kinds of shops, from clothes to electronics, so the street is always packed with shoppers and cars. Our office is a bit more modern, but still very much a working space. We spend the day coordinating our overseas operations and handling the logistics side of things. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a question about a shipment. The traffic on Arya Samaj Road can be a real headache, especially in the evenings when the market is in full swing. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we sort through our invoices. It’s a small team here, so we all know each other’s business and help out where it’s needed. The office is a bit cramped with all the files we have to keep for the export side of the business. We try to keep it as tidy as possible, but work gets in the way sometimes. Most of our clients are people we’ve known for years. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure they get on the ships or planes on time. It’s a lot of routine, but every day brings a new problem to solve with a customs form or a shipping delay.
