B. R. Impex

B. R. Impex is tucked away at No. 1964/10 in the Outram Line area, right by Kingsway Camp. It’s a bit of an older part of town and the streets can be narrow, making it tricky for the delivery vans. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the noise from the camp anymore. Our setup is pretty basic. We handle imports and exports mainly. The building has seen better days but it works for what we need. Inside, it's mostly shelves and a couple of old desks that have been here since the start. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we check the inventory. There’s a lot of coming and going with the goods. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, while other days we are running around trying to meet a shipment deadline. My nephew started helping out last year and he’s slowly learning the ropes. We don't have any fancy brochures to give out. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our trucks. The rain sometimes leaks through the back door so we have to keep the boxes away from that side. It’s a bit of a juggle but we make it work. Kingsway Camp has changed a lot over the years but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We just get on with it.
