Bld Import Pvt. Ltd.

We are out here at Plot No. 422/3/2 on Rani Khera Road in Mundka. It’s a bit of a trek to get out this way from the main parts of New Delhi, but this is where the space is. Bld Import Pvt. Ltd. needs the room for all the stuff coming in, and the Rani Khera area is mostly industrial, so it fits what we do. The road can get really dusty when the big trucks go by, and in the summer, it gets incredibly hot inside the warehouse. We don't have any fancy air conditioning in the main storage area, just big industrial fans that move the hot air around. Most of our day is spent checking the manifests and making sure the containers are unloaded properly. It’s physical work and sometimes we’re all pretty tired by the end of the shift. We’ve had this plot for a while now and we’ve seen the area change a bit, but it’s still mostly factories and godowns. We don't really have a polished front office because most of our visitors are just truck drivers or logistics guys. There is a small desk where we handle the computer stuff and the imports. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We just make sure the goods get from the port to here and then out to where they need to go. It’s a lot of logistics and a bit of a headache sometimes out here on Rani Khera Road.
