Operating out of New Delhi is a bit of a whirlwind most of the time. We’re Kafila Hospitality, and if you’ve spent any time in this city, you know how things move fast. We deal with people coming and going, looking for a place to stay or something to eat. It’s not always easy, especially when the city gets crowded during the festival seasons. Our team is just a bunch of regular folks who know their way around a kitchen and a guest room. We don't have a big corporate manual that we follow word for word. We just try to be helpful when someone asks for something. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to actually sit down for a minute. New Delhi is a tough place to run a business because everyone is in a hurry, but we’ve managed to stay afloat. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or slogans. We’re more worried about if the linens are clean and if the food is hot. It’s a lot of long hours, and sometimes we get tired, but that's part of the job. You meet all kinds of people in this business, from tourists who are lost to locals who just want a break. We’re just here doing our thing day after day, trying to keep things running as smoothly as we can manage. It’s not about being the flashiest spot in the city. We’re just happy to be here.
