We have been here at 31 Shaival for quite a while now. It is right across from the Rajpath Club on S.G Road, so most people know the area well. Our office is not anything too fancy, just a regular place where we sit down and get through the drawings and plans for the day. Some mornings are quiet, just the sound of someone clicking a mouse or sketching out notes on a pad. Other days, things get a bit more crowded with samples of wood and fabric taking up all the desk space. We spend most of our time trying to figure out how to make a room work better or where to put a wall so it actually makes sense for the people using it. It is practical work. People come in, they tell us what they need, and we try to draw it up. There is a lot of back and forth, and sometimes it takes a few tries to get everything right. We do not have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure measurements are correct and materials show up on time. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up, or the traffic on S.G Road makes someone late for a meeting, but we just keep at it. It is a job like any other, focused on making interiors that work. We do not do much of the fancy talk, just the actual design work every day.
