Interior Design

Our office is down on the ground floor of A-4 in Malaviya Nagar. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, and honestly, finding a quiet moment to focus can be a bit of a challenge sometimes with the street noise outside. We call ourselves Interior Design, which is pretty straight to the point. We mostly spend our days looking at floor plans and picking out fabrics or paint colors. It isn’t always glamorous work like you see on the television. Most of the time it’s measuring things twice so we don't make a mistake when the furniture arrives. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The space is a bit cramped because we have catalogs and samples piled up everywhere, from tiles to curtain swatches. It’s just how we work. People walk in from the neighborhood asking for advice on a kitchen remodel or how to fix a dark room, and we do what we can. We aren't a big corporation. It's just a small group of us trying to make spaces work better for the folks who live in them. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late, or the contractor gets stuck in Delhi traffic, so we have to stay late to sort things out. It’s just the usual day-to-day grind for a small shop like ours in the city. We keep a desk in the back for the paperwork, but most of our time is spent right here at the front table.
