India Trading Co.

We are up on the tenth floor of Nirmal Tower. It's a busy building on Barakhamba Road. India Trading Co. has been operating from room 1004 for a good stretch of time. We deal with a lot of different goods and suppliers. The phones ring quite a bit and there are always papers moving across the desks. It isn't a flashy place. Just desks, computers, and a lot of coffee. We spend most of our day talking to people on the phone or sending out emails to get things moved from one place to another. It is the kind of business that relies on knowing people and keeping track of details. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we wait around with the other office workers. Barakhamba Road is always crowded, so getting to work is a bit of a chore, but once we are inside, it’s just the usual routine. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just trade. We buy things, we sell things, and we make sure the logistics work out. It is practical work. Sometimes there are delays with shipments and we have to figure it out. We have a small team here. We've worked together for a long time so we know how each other thinks. From the window, you can see the city moving below, which is nice when you need a minute. It's just a regular office life in a busy part of the city. We keep our records in order and try to stay ahead of the paperwork.
