Iceberg Foods Ltd.

Our place is located at Plot No.677/1 in Meera Pur, not far from the Devi Mandir. Even though we have a bigger name like Iceberg Foods Ltd, it’s really just a group of us working in this building every day. The morning starts early here, usually before the sun is fully up, so we can get the machines ready. Being near the temple, we hear the chants and prayers while we work, which is a nice background sound. The work involves a lot of handling food products, so we have to be careful and keep things clean. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter months. We have our lunch together in the small break area. It’s not fancy at all. We just bring our tiffin boxes from home. The building is a bit old, and sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon rains are heavy. We just put a bucket under it and keep going. Most of us have lived in Meera Pur our whole lives. We know the people walking past our gate every day. We don't do much advertising. The work keeps us busy enough as it is. By the time we finish the evening shift, we are all pretty tired. We just lock the gates and head home to our families. It is just what we do to get by.
