About Harmonics School Of Rock – Education in New Delhi
Being up on the 3rd and 4th floors of a building in Sheikh Sarai 2 means we get a decent view, but it also means a lot of climbing. Our place at K 73, H is where we spend most of our time, surrounded by instruments and cables. It’s not a polished studio by any means. There are guitar cases leaning against the walls and drum kits that take up most of the space in the small rooms. The soundproofing is something we worked on ourselves with some foam and heavy curtains, though it’s not perfect. You can still hear the traffic from the road if you listen closely. It’s a casual setup where students can just sit on the floor and tune their guitars. We have a small corner for tea and snacks because sessions often run long. Sometimes the electricity flickers and we have to wait a minute for the amps to kick back in. It’s just one of those things you deal with in Delhi. Most of the people who come here are just looking for a place to play without being told to be quiet. We aren't big on rules or strict uniforms. It’s more about the practice and getting the chords right. The air conditioning in the main room works okay, but the smaller rooms can get a bit stuffy in July. We don't mind it much. It feels like a proper hideout for anyone who wants to make some noise.
