H. M. Traders

We are over at K P Block in Pitam Pura. H. M. Traders is a fairly straightforward operation. Pitam Pura is a big area, and K P Block has its own specific vibe—lots of people moving around and plenty of small shops nearby. Our office isn’t anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s functional and a bit lived-in. We’ve got shelves full of ledgers and samples from over the years. We don't really bother with fancy furniture or high-end office supplies. As long as the phones work and we have a place to sit, we’re good. Most of the day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on transport. It can be a bit loud outside with the traffic, but we’ve grown used to it. Sometimes we have to move things around just to make room for a new shipment, and the office ends up looking like a warehouse for a few days. We don’t have a big marketing budget, so we don’t do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen us here for years. It’s an honest way to make a living. We have our good days and our bad ones, just like any other trader. The tea breaks are the highlight of the afternoon, honestly. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep our clients satisfied without making a big deal out of it.
