We operate out of Kirti Nagar in the W.H.S. area, specifically units A-176 through 178. Being in the Timber Market means it always smells like wood shavings and saw dust around here. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of heavy lifting. We spend most of our time moving planks and checking the wood that arrives. The units are quite large, but they still feel small when we have a big shipment of timber coming in. We’ve been in this location for a good while, and we know the other guys in the market pretty well. It’s a competitive place but everyone mostly keeps to themselves. We don't have a glossy office or anything. It's mostly just desks, chairs, and piles of wood samples everywhere you look. My clothes usually have some dust on them by the end of the shift. We see all kinds of people, from contractors to folks just looking for a specific piece of wood for a hobby. The traffic in Kirti Nagar can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to get our loading done early. It’s a straightforward business. We buy wood, we store it, and we sell it. There’s no magic to it, just knowing what kind of timber works for what. Some days are longer than others, especially when the weather is bad and we have to cover everything up quickly before it gets damp.
