Rajeev Agarwal Architect

Rajeev Agarwal Architect is located at Plot No. J-1963 in C. R. Park. The office is on the ground floor of the building. Chittaranjan Park is a very green and residential neighborhood, so it is quite a nice place to work compared to the more commercial parts of Delhi. Rajeev and a couple of assistants sit here surrounded by stacks of drawing paper and cardboard models. There is always a smell of pencil shavings and coffee in the air. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many books on design and architecture lining the walls. We have a big drafting table that takes up most of the main room. Sometimes we open the door to let in a breeze from the small garden outside, though we have to watch out for the mosquitoes. The walls are covered with sketches of buildings we have worked on over the years. It is a very informal environment. We don't wear suits or act like big corporate bosses. We are usually just huddled over a plan trying to figure out where the plumbing should go or how to make a room look bigger. The neighbors often walk by and wave through the window. It is a comfortable spot that feels more like a home than a workplace. We have a small kitchen in the back where we make toast and tea during our breaks. It is a simple life of drawing and planning every day.
