Experimental Restaurants Private Limited is based out of D-88 on the ground floor in Anand Niketan. It’s a nice, leafy part of South West Delhi and we feel lucky to have a spot here. We spend our time thinking about food concepts and how to make them work in the real world. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to drop by or for us to move equipment around without much trouble. We are a small group of people who just really like the restaurant business. It’s not always as glamorous as people might think. There is a lot of cleaning, bookkeeping, and late-night planning involved. We don't have a fancy corporate office; it’s just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes we are testing out new recipes and other days we are just buried in paperwork and bills. Anand Niketan is a quiet neighborhood which gives us the headspace to focus on our projects. We don't really do the whole big marketing thing. We just focus on the restaurants we are involved with and try to keep them running smoothly. It’s a lot of trial and error, which is why the name fits us quite well. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still doing our thing day after day. It is hard work, but we find it rewarding to see people eating our food.
