Icici Direct

The office is located at 114/115 on the 1st floor of the Arunachal Building. That’s at 19 Barakhamba Road, right in the heart of things. Working for Icici Direct here is a lot of paperwork and computer screens. Since it's Barakhamba Road, the area is always buzzing with people in suits and cars everywhere. Our floor is usually busy with people coming in to talk about their accounts or looking for some help with their forms. It’s not a very big office, just some desks and some partitions. The carpets are a bit worn down from all the walking. We spend a lot of time on the phones or typing. It can get a bit stressful when the markets are moving, but we just try to keep up with the data. There’s a small pantry where we get our coffee and talk about the commute. The building itself is one of those older ones in Connaught Place, so it has that specific smell. We have a lot of files stacked up on the shelves. It’s a lot of numbers and names. Sometimes the elevators in the Arunachal Building take forever, so we just use the stairs since we are only on the first floor. It’s a typical office routine. We deal with the documents and make sure the entries are correct. It’s just what we do every day from nine to five. The light in the hallway is usually flickering.
