China Fare

China Fare is at 27 A on Lodhi Road, right in the heart of Khan Market. It is a very busy area, as most people around here know. Our space is not very big, and the kitchen takes up most of it. We have been working here for quite some time now, just making food for the people who walk through the market. The walls are a bit plain and the floor is always getting dirty because of the foot traffic. We try our best to keep up with the cleaning, but during the lunch rush, it is almost impossible. You can hear the sounds of the woks and the fans going all day long. It gets very hot inside, especially in the summer months. We don't have much room for people to sit and eat, so most of our customers just take their food to go. We see a lot of office workers and students coming in for a quick bite. The street outside is always packed with cars and people, so it stays pretty loud until we close. We use a lot of vegetables and sauces every day, and the prep work takes us hours in the morning. It is hard work, standing for so long, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on getting the orders out as fast as we can without making too many mistakes or getting things mixed up.
