Camellia Sinensis Private Limited

We’ve got a space on the 7th floor of Statesman House, which is that big round building on Barakhamba Road. Being in Connaught Place is convenient because the metro is right there, though the elevators in this building can be a bit slow when everyone is heading to lunch. At Camellia Sinensis, we work mostly on tea-related business, which is what our name suggests. The office has a great view of the city, but inside, it’s just a regular workplace with computers and heaps of tea samples scattered around. We spend a lot of time tasting different batches and talking to growers. It’s not as fancy as the address might make it sound. Most of our day is just spent on the phone or typing out orders. We have some old filing cabinets that have seen better days and a kettle that’s almost always running. People come in and out for meetings, and we usually offer them a cup of whatever we’re testing that day. Connaught Place is always buzzing, and being in the middle of New Delhi feels right for us. We’ve been here at B-702 for a while now. It’s a professional building, but we keep our office relaxed. We just try to get the best leaves to the right people without making things overly complicated. It’s a steady routine for our small team and we like the pace of it.
