Angrezi Dhaba

Angrezi Dhaba is our little eating place at M Block Market in Bengali Market, M 72 A. We chose this spot because we like the energy of Bengali Market and all the people it brings in. It is not a fancy restaurant with expensive decor or anything like that. We call it a dhaba because we wanted to keep things simple and honest. We have some basic wooden tables and chairs for people to sit on while they eat. The kitchen is right there and you can hear the sounds of us cooking all day long. It gets very busy during the lunch and dinner hours and sometimes there is a wait for a table. We don't have a big team of managers or a corporate structure. It is just a few of us working together to keep things moving. We write our daily menu on a small chalkboard near the entrance. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish early in the day and we just cross it off. Bengali Market is a famous area and we get all sorts of people from tourists to locals who have lived here for decades. We don't spend any money on marketing or social media. We just focus on our work and hope people enjoy their visit to M 72 A. It is a lot of hard work and we are always tired at night but we like being here.
