Madhava English Medium School

Our school is located right in Nellore, and it’s been part of the neighborhood for a while. We go by Madhava English Medium School. It’s not a huge campus, but we have enough space for the kids to run around during their breaks. The weather in Nellore can be really tough, especially in the summer months when the sun is beating down on the roof. We try to keep the classrooms cool enough so everyone can focus. Most of our staff are local people who have lived here their whole lives. We get to know the parents pretty well since we see them every day at drop-off and pick-up times. There’s a lot of chatter near the front gate around 3:30 in the afternoon. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of chairs scraping and teachers talking. We don’t have fancy equipment, just the basics like benches, books, and charts on the walls. It’s a bit noisy sometimes because we are in a busy area, but you get used to the sounds of the street after a few days. We spend a lot of our time grading papers or planning what to do for the next week. It’s a regular job, and we take it one day at a time. The kids keep us busy, that’s for sure. We just keep the doors open and do our best to help everyone learn their English and other subjects without making things too complicated. It works for us and the families here.
