Dr. Kishore Ratnam High School

You can find us in Nellore, specifically within the Rithwik Enclave area of Vedayapalem. This is a residential part of town, so it is a bit quieter than the main commercial streets. Our school serves the families living in the enclave and the nearby blocks. The building is a functional high school structure with multiple rooms for the different grades. We have a small area out front where the cycles are parked. In the mornings, there is a steady stream of students walking or riding their bikes through the enclave gates. We’ve been here for a while now, and the walls are covered with old charts and some student drawings. The classrooms have large windows to let in the breeze, which is necessary during the humid months in Nellore. We don't have a fancy auditorium or anything like that; we usually just use the main hall for any gatherings we need to have. The staff is a mix of experienced teachers and some younger ones who have just started out. We all know the kids by their first names and often see their parents at the local market. It’s a very neighborhood-focused school. We don't spend money on big advertisements; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been part of the Vedayapalem community for years. It’s a simple, hardworking place where we focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are doing their work.
