We have a large open area where the students gather for morning assembly. It can get quite hot in this part of Nellore, so we try to keep the windows open for a breeze. There’s always something going on, whether it’s a class being taught or some students working on a project in the yard. We don't have fancy lab equipment or a massive library, but we make do with the books and supplies we have. The staff lives mostly nearby and they know the struggles the families face. We just try to keep the school running smoothly every day. Sometimes the water supply is a bit finicky, but we fix it and move on. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s important work. The children come here to learn and we provide the space for them to do that. It’s a simple school in a simple place, and we are proud to be here in Tellagunta. That’s really all there is to it. We just keep showing up for the kids.
