Our workshop is at R-676 in the T.T.C Industrial Area. If you are coming down Thane Belapur Road, you have to look for the turn behind the pipeline in Rabale MIDC. It’s a huge industrial zone, so it is easy to get lost if you don't know the landmarks. Sheth Fabricators Pvt Ltd. is a place full of the smell of cut metal and the sound of welding machines. It is noisy and dirty, exactly how a fabrication shop should be. We have heavy machinery bolted to the floor and heaps of raw materials in the back. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets really loud when it rains. We spend our days cutting, bending, and joining metal parts. It’s physical work and everyone usually goes home with some grease on their clothes. We don't have a fancy office; just a small partitioned area with a desk where we handle the paperwork. The trucks come in and out all day long, dropping off steel or picking up finished jobs. It is a busy environment and we don't have much time for small talk. We just focus on the drawings the customers bring us and try to get the pieces made right. It’s a solid, gritty place to work and we’ve been part of this industrial community for a long time. Sometimes the grease is hard to wash off at the end of the day. The lights in the back of the workshop flicker a bit, but we know our way around even in the dim spots.
