Setting up at Plot No. A-478 in the TTC Industrial Area was a big step for us. It’s a busy part of town, and there is always something going on with the neighbors. We do a lot of fabrication work here, which means there is usually a lot of noise and sparks flying around during the day. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like the pace and the people we deal with. The shop floor is usually covered in scrap metal and tools, though we try to sweep up before we head home for the night. Being in TTC means we are close to everything we need, which helps when a machine breaks down or we need parts fast. Our team is small, mostly just local guys who know their way around a welding torch and aren't afraid of a bit of grease. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to for an invoice. Most of the day is spent on our feet, measuring things and putting pieces together. The roof gets pretty hot in the summer, so we drink a lot of water and take breaks when it gets unbearable. We’ve been at this location for a while and have seen the area change quite a bit as new shops move in. It’s just a regular fabrication shop where we do what needs to be done. We don't put on any acts here, we just show up and do the work until the sun goes down.
