Maruti Marble

We are over at Plot No -39A in the Janta Market, which is part of Turbhe Sector-23. If you have ever been through this part of town, you know it is mostly industrial shops, transport offices, and warehouses. Our place, Maruti Marble, is right in the middle of all that activity. We deal with big slabs of stone every single day. It is hard physical work and your clothes usually end up covered in white dust or mud by noon. The crane we use to move the heavy pieces around is a bit old and noisy, but it still does the job fine. We keep most of the stock out in the open yard where people can see it. When it rains, we have to be very careful about things getting slippery underfoot. Customers come by looking for something for their stairs or maybe new kitchen counters. We show them what we have on the racks. Sometimes the pieces have natural veins and patterns that people really like, and sometimes they want something plain and simple. It's just a lot of walking back and forth and moving heavy things with the rollers. The office is small and usually has a few old calendars and photos on the wall. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to attract people. Most folks find us because they are already in Janta Market for other building supplies. We just stay focused on the work and making sure the slabs are loaded safely onto the trucks. It is a noisy area with all the traffic from Turbhe, but we are used to it now.
