Maheshwari Stone & Marbles

We've been at Plot No 7 in the Taloja marble market for a while now. It's a busy spot right near the Mumbai Pune Highway in Kalamboli. Mostly we spend our days unloading trucks and showing people around the different slabs we have in the yard. It gets dusty out here with all the stone cutting, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized so people can find what they need without too much trouble. Sometimes the traffic on the cross road makes deliveries a bit of a headache, but we manage to get things where they need to go. It is a family thing mostly, just keeping the stock moving and making sure the inventory stays fresh. We have been seeing more people coming in from the highway lately looking for stuff for their home renovations. It's just us here most days, wearing boots and handling the heavy lifting. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything, just the yard with the stones stacked up. People usually just drop by after seeing the sign. We talk about the different types of marble we get in and which ones hold up better. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We spend a good chunk of the morning just checking for cracks or chips in the new arrivals. If you are driving toward Pune, you can usually see our place from the main road. We just try to keep it simple and get the job done.
