Komal Chemiequip is located at Plot W-336 in the M.I.D.C. area of Rabale. We are quite close to the TTC Industrial Area, which is a huge zone full of all kinds of manufacturing. Our work is mainly focused on making equipment for chemical industries. This means we deal with a lot of heavy steel plates and welding equipment. The workshop is a large, open space with high ceilings because the things we build can be quite tall. There is always the bright flash of welding going on in one corner and the sound of heavy grinding in another. It’s a noisy, busy place where you have to wear thick boots and stay alert. The floor is mostly grey from the metal dust, and no matter how much we sweep, it always comes back. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air-conditioned offices for meetings. We usually just talk to people right there on the floor or near the main gate. The commute to Rabale can be long depending on the trains, but once we are here, we just put our heads down and work. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just build the tanks and the machines that the chemical plants need. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
