Indian Steel Corporation

Our place is at Gat No. 41, Plot No. 2, right on National Highway 4. We are on the Mumbai-Pune Road in Village Adivali. If you are driving along the highway, you can find us near the Gulshan Weighbridge. It is a very busy area with trucks and lorries rumbling past at all hours of the day and night. Indian Steel Corporation is basically a large yard and an office where we deal with all kinds of steel products. The ground is usually covered in red dust from the road and the trucks, so everything stays a bit dirty no matter how much we sweep. It is a loud environment because of the highway traffic and the heavy machinery we use to move things around. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever is at the desk. We spend a lot of time checking the weights of the loads because that is how the business works. The weighbridge nearby is a constant landmark for us. It is a tough, practical business and we are just some regular folks trying to keep the steel moving to where it needs to go. We stay open through the heat and the rain because the highway never stops, and neither do we. It is just the way things are out here in Adivali.
