Shree Saichi Maya

We are located out on the Aurangabad Highway in the Panchavati area of Nashik. Being near the petrol pump and the Kailash Nagar area means there is always someone coming or going. We work alongside the Choudhary Yatra Company, so we see a lot of travelers who are on long bus trips across the state. The building itself is nothing special to look at, just a functional space where people can stop for a while. We have a lot of space for people to gather before they head out on their journeys. The air smells like diesel and rain sometimes. Inside, we keep things basic. There are benches and some tables where families can sit together. We don’t have air conditioning, just the big ceiling fans that hum all day. The walls are painted a simple color and we have a few pictures of the local area hanging up. Our days are tied to the bus schedules. When a bus pulls in, it gets very crowded and loud for about thirty minutes. Then it goes quiet again until the next one arrives. We spend the quiet times cleaning up and preparing for the next group. It’s a rhythmic kind of life here on the highway. We’ve been part of this Nashik landscape for a good while now, just serving the people who pass through.
