Shilpa Restaurant

Our restaurant sits at 430 Ratan Bhuwan on MG Road in Nashik. We are right on the corner of Vakilwadi, right across from where the Deshdhoot newspaper office is. This part of Nashik is always moving fast and there are people everywhere. We open up early to get the kitchen ready and start the day. You can hear the news guys across the street and the traffic never really stops on MG Road. We have been at this corner for a long time now. The building is old and has its own character. Inside, we are usually busy wiping down tables or getting the plates ready for the lunch rush. It is a lot of hard work in a hot kitchen, but that is just what we do. We don't have any fancy mission statements, we just serve food to whoever walks in through the door. Sometimes the place gets really packed and it is hard to hear yourself think over the clatter of dishes. Other times, in the late afternoon, it gets a bit quieter and we can sit for a minute. We see the same faces every day, people who work in the offices nearby or shop on MG Road. It is a very practical kind of life. We focus on the chores that need doing and keep the place running day after day. It is just a regular local eating house in the heart of the city.
