Sai Niranjan Fruits

If you head down Wadala Road and turn into Hirve Nagar, you will find us at number 6 in the Yogini Society. Sai Niranjan Fruits is a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling the daily stock. We get things ready early in the morning when it’s still cool outside. The neighborhood is quiet at that hour, which is nice. Our space is filled with crates and the smell of whatever arrived that morning. It isn't a fancy shop with bright lights; it’s more of a functional workspace where we sort through everything. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the smaller streets in the society, so we end up carrying a lot of stuff by hand. It keeps us moving. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the locals know the rhythm of our day. By afternoon, the floor usually needs a good sweep because of all the bits of packaging and fruit skins. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. People just stop by because they know we are here. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes, which can be tiring, but it’s the job. We close up when the sun goes down and head home. It’s a steady way to spend the day, and we like being part of the Hirve Nagar community.
