Sai Cafe & Restaurant

Our place is in Sukamal Plaza which is right along the Mumbai Agra Highway in Nashik. Because we are near the highway in Panchavati we get a lot of travelers who are just passing through town. There is also a big water tank nearby that helps people figure out where we are if they get lost. Running Sai Cafe & Restaurant keeps us busy from the early hours. Nashik is a beautiful city but the highway side can be quite hectic with all the trucks and buses zooming by. We have a simple setup inside Sukamal Plaza. It is not about being flashy or having the newest furniture. We just want to make sure the food is ready when someone stops their car and walks in. Sometimes the traffic is so loud we have to speak up to hear each other. We do a lot of the work ourselves from cleaning the floors to checking the supplies in the back. Panchavati is a historic area but this part near the water tank is more about the practical side of life. We see people from all over India because of the road we are on. It is interesting to see the different license plates in the parking area. We just keep our heads down and keep the kitchen running as best as we can every single day.
