Manas Lifestyle Resort

Our place is located at Plot 286 in Talegam. It's right off the Mumbai-Agra Road, which makes it easy to find if you're driving up from the city. Igatpuri gets a lot of fog and rain during the monsoon, so we spend a lot of time dealing with the dampness. We have a fair amount of space here for people to walk around. It's not the same as being in Mumbai; it’s much louder in the city, but here it is quiet once you get off the highway. We’ve been running Manas Lifestyle Resort for a while now. The rooms are basic but they work for what people need. We have some trees planted around the property to block out the noise from the road traffic. The staff usually starts early to get breakfast going for the guests. We have a lot of families who stop by on their way to other places. Sometimes they stay for a weekend just to see the green hills. The weather here is the main reason people come, especially when it gets too hot down in the plains. We try to keep the gardens looking decent. It’s a lot of grass to mow every single week. We use the local water supply and sometimes have to call the tankers when it gets dry in the summer months. We’re just a bunch of regular people working here. No one wears a fancy uniform or anything. We just make sure the beds are made and the food is hot.
