Kokani Darbar Restaurant

Kokani Darbar Restaurant is tucked away in the Ply Market area of Nashik. We are situated right behind Rajjak Manzil, which is the best way to find us if you are new to the neighborhood. The market stays noisy and busy, so our restaurant is a place where people can duck in for a quick bite. We started this place because there weren't many options right in this specific corner of the market. It’s not a big restaurant, but we make the most of the space we have. The kitchen takes up a good portion of the back, and the front has enough seating for the lunch crowd. We mostly serve people who work nearby or those visiting the shops. Every morning we get our supplies delivered and start the prep work. It is hard work and the days are long, but we’ve gotten into a rhythm over the years. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, just a sign outside that tells people we are open. Sometimes the market gets so crowded it's hard to see the door, but our regulars always find their way in. The menu is simple and we stick to what we know how to cook. We try to keep the prices fair so workers can come in daily. It’s just us running the show here, making sure the food is ready when the gates open. We handle the cooking and the cleaning ourselves mostly. It keeps us busy.
