Aakash Electricals

Aakash Electricals is tucked into the A-15 MIDC flatted building on D. Road in Satpur. It is one of those places that feels very industrial and practical. Being in a flatted building means we have neighbors above and below us, so you always hear the sounds of Nashik's industry around you. We have a lot of shelves filled with electrical parts and coils. It is not a place where you would want to wear white clothes because there is always a bit of dust or grease from the work being done. We have a couple of large tables where we lay things out to check them. The lighting is mostly fluorescent tubes that flicker a bit when they are first turned on. We spend our mornings going through the list of what needs to be sent out to the local factories. The air in Satpur can get quite dry, so we keep the windows open when the weather allows it. Our team is small, just a handful of people who know exactly where every bolt and wire is kept. We don't use fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still written down in notebooks that we keep on the main desk. It is a very hands-on kind of environment. We take our breaks together and usually talk about local news or the weather.
