Turup Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out in Tursapatti, you can find Turup Farmer Producer Company at Saroj Kumari’s place on Shahi Road. It’s a rural area where everyone knows each other and most people are involved in farming one way or another. We don't have a formal office building like you’d see in a big city. Instead, we use this space in Kaithola Beniram to meet and talk. Usually, there are a few chairs set out and a table where we keep our ledgers and some paperwork. Farmers from the village come by to discuss the seeds they need or to talk about how the weather is affecting their crops. It’s a very local way of doing things. We spend a lot of time walking to different fields or sitting on the porch talking about market prices. The road outside can get very muddy when it rains, making it hard for vehicles to get through. We have to plan everything around the seasons. If it’s planting time, everyone is busy and you won't see many people at the house until late in the evening. We keep track of what everyone is growing so we can try to sell it together. It’s a slow process sometimes, and there is always some problem to solve, like a pest issue or a lack of water. But this is just how life is in Turasapatti, and we are right in the middle of it, doing the daily work.
